Dear FMS PTO friends and families,
To ensure the continuity of the programs and events that the PTO supports, we are actively looking for volunteers interested in donating some of their time to become PTO board members. At the end of this school year, all of our current board members, myself included, will be stepping down. The FMS PTO is a valuable asset to the school community and it would be sad to see it go if no one is willing to take part in it. We support classroom, student and faculty needs throughout the school year. We provide funding and support for things such as “The Holiday Affair”, “Field Day” and “Day of Caring” to name a few.
The PTO is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. We have a dedicated accountant and our financial information is kept current. We hold regular monthly meetings, usually the third Tuesday of the month @ 6:30 in the Library at FMS. Our next meeting is Tuesday, April 15th. If you or anyone you know may be interested in becoming a board member you can contact me by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or attend the meeting.
The PTO will hold elections for new board members at our May 20th meeting. If we can’t fill these offices in May, the PTO will dissolve and will no longer function in the school community. So please think about it, come to the April meeting or send me an email if you’d like to know more. I’m happy to answer any and all questions.
